Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibities 

  • Walk the warehouse and cold rooms (including the Repack and Partials room) multiple times daily, inspecting the overall quality of ALL inventories in the facility.  This includes opening cases, checking receiving dates, and proper case rotation in the pick slots.
  • Work with Warehouse staff to check back stock products on upper- tier racking
  • Work with Sales and Buying departments to recommend movement of product to Repack Department and/or clearance.
  • Work closely with Buyers, QA, and Operations to communicate needs and opportunities
  • Participate in internal and external Quality audits.  Assist with third party and customer audits to obtain or maintain certifications.
  • Report to management on quality and food safety issues and trends
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in warehouse shipping and handling, preferred
  • Experience WMS AS 400
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, And PowerPoint.
  • Inventory Management experience is a plus
  • Must be able to safely operate all warehouse equipment
  • A vast knowledge of the fresh produce or perishables industry is needed to be successful in this role.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and short deadlines.
  • Critical thinking, ability to use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and externally.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility, with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days, weekends, and holidays.
