Description

Are you interested in the beverage industry? Reporting to the Sales Team Manager, the Seasonal Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring the account level merchandising activities are fully executed and all front-line marketing tactics are utilized at the point of purchase. This position offers plenty of professional development and growth opportunities within the company. You'll learn about our various divisions, portfolios, brands, and sales technology.


* This is a seasonal/summer position that will work approximately 40 hours per week over a 12-week time period, approximately mid-May through August and will service the Worcester County territory.



Key Accountabilities:

  • Maximize distribution of products sold by Quality Beverage in all applicable accounts
  • Develop strong professional relationships with all customers at all times
  • Build high-impact displays for our portfolio of products in appropriate accounts
  • Maintain physical inventory and fill coolers at key retail accounts
  • Assist with account level activations associated with supplier assigned goals
  • Monitor & communicate competitive activity as it relates to sales & marketing
  • Provide support for sales promotions and special events (includes nights and weekends)
  • Comply with all legal guidelines, safety requirements and Quality Beverage company standards and policies
  • Responsible for assisting in the daily upkeep of the POCM warehouse
  • Responsible for daily paperwork and the proper completion of all Martignetti documents
  • Work with sales team and organization to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Identify opportunities for and place permanent point of connection material such as neon signs, clocks, and other signs in on and off premise accounts
  • Work with and support sales staff on cooler resets in retail accounts
  • Ensure all POCM is properly themed and current
  • Monitor and rotate all close coded product, monitor breakage and damaged packages
  • Knowledge and safe operation of various power equipment
  • Create and print basic signage for retail accounts
  • Complete any and all miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Full Time Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend events and activities

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Can communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Excited to learn about our brands and products
  • Willing to work flexible hours when needed
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, ready to contribute to the team's success


Education/Experience/Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license, registration, and safe driving record
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age in compliance with applicable alcohol handling regulations and company policy
  • Vehicle capable of transporting POS materials

Physical Demands and Environment:

  • Regularly lift objects up to 25 pounds and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Hang merchandise materials sometimes requiring the use of power tools
  • Expect to be on your feet a lot, either standing or walking throughout the day
  • Requires a good amount of mental focus to handle complex tasks that need concentrated effort and attention to detail
  • Includes travel and facing various weather conditions when visiting customers, prospects, or vendors
  • Potential for accidents due to road travel, including traffic incidents, delivery of goods, or the setup of displays, so staying alert and careful is important
