Job Title: Senior Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to serve as the lead technical monitor for our large-scale construction projects. You will act as the primary liaison between the field construction teams and project leadership, ensuring that every phase of construction-from site preparation to final system turnover-is executed in strict accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
This is a critical oversight role for a professional who understands that quality is not just a standard, but a deliverable. You will be responsible for providing objective, data-driven surveillance of workmanship, materials, and installation methods. If you have an eye for detail, deep experience with complex construction codes, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve site-level conflicts before they become project delays, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Site Surveillance & Compliance Oversight
• Technical Surveillance: Perform comprehensive site inspections across all project phases. Evaluate workmanship, materials, and construction methods to verify compliance with technical plans and specifications.
• Deficiency Identification: Proactively identify deviations from design documents. Deliver clear, evidence-based reports to project leadership and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Project Documentation: Assist in the preparation of project modifications and change order documentation. Draft necessary technical justifications to ensure project scope changes are properly captured and approved.
Conflict Resolution & Advisory
• Technical Liaison: Serve as a subject matter expert on-site. Assist project managers in resolving technical disagreements between contractors and the design intent.
• Process Governance: Survey and audit project-wide quality assurance programs. Identify "changed conditions" on the job site and provide actionable advice to leadership regarding schedule or scope impacts.
• Control Method Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed inspection protocols and quality control methods tailored to the specific needs of each project.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience in construction inspection, quality assurance, or site supervision.
• Technical Literacy: Deep working knowledge of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Code Proficiency: Extensive experience with national construction codes, industry standards, and material testing requirements.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to assess complex site conditions and provide clear, technically sound recommendations to project leadership.
Preferred Attributes
• Proven experience in a "client-facing" or "owner-representative" role.
• Strong background in document control and change order management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you must be able to write reports that stand up to high-level review.
