The Community Umbrella Agencies (CUA) are community-based agencies established to provide case management services and ensure the permanency, wellbeing, and safety of the children, youth, and their families. APM CUA is looking for compassionate and committed social workers who want to create long-lasting impacts in the lives of children and families. APM CUA 2 services the Lower Eastern North region and CUA 5 services the Logan/Olney region.



JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Assistant (QAS2) is responsible for ensuring that the Child, Youth and Family Service program is adhering to established performance and quality standards. Specifics duties include tracking performance data and generating reports, reconciling program data, administering Quality Visitation Review Audits (QVR), providing customer service on behalf of the agency, and performing other tasks assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.


Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities of Quality Assurance Assistant

  • Interprets and implements quality assurance standards and procedures in accordance with the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, State regulations, DHS guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Conducts interviews with program staff, clients, and resource parents to evaluate program effectiveness and services.
  • Reconciles data between program tracking applications and user-entered data to ensure consistency.
  • Responsible for having knowledge of Child Protective Services Law, State regulations, OHS guidelines, and contractual requirements and informing the Director of any new and/or revised regulations.
  • Compiles statistical performance data and writes narrative reports summarizing findings.
  • Assists with the coordination of audit information, and recommends appropriate data-gathering mechanisms, procedures, etc.
  • Maintains current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and monitoring.
  • Ability to identify problems, and work with staff to initiate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Administers access to all OHS web-based applications.
  • Provides technical assistance related to DHS web applications.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in any field is required.
  • Prior experience in working in Quality Assurance and/or Child Welfare is preferred.
  • Prior experience in finance and/or medical coding is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills minimum.
  • Good customer service skills and a team player.
  • Sound judgment, data/analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel, and power point.
  • Experience working with databases and web based applications.
  • Numpad proficiency is a plus.
  • Typing speed of40 wpm minimum.
