In this role, your responsibilities involve all aspects of quality control. You test procedures and make adjustments as required to meet goals and deadlines. As part of your duties, you log your findings and implement a plan for the smooth operation of the line for the long-term. Some people in this career specialize in a particular facet of the manufacturing process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Quality Associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Quality Associate, you need attention to detail, knowledge of quality control principles, and often a degree in science, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with quality management systems (such as ISO 9001), statistical analysis tools, and documentation software is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities help you collaborate across teams and address process issues effectively. What are some common challenges Quality Associates face when working on cross-functional teams?

Quality Associates often collaborate with departments like manufacturing, engineering, and regulatory affairs to ensure product quality standards are met. Job description

Who We Are
Porter Logistics is a fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider redefining modern warehousing and fulfillment. Headquartered in Atlanta, we’ve grown over the past decade from a two-person operation in a 10,000-square-foot warehouse to an organization supporting more than 1 million square feet across multiple Georgia facilities.

We partner with high-expectation customers who depend on accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence. Our success is driven by disciplined execution, a strong commitment to safety and quality, and teams that take ownership of their work.

This is a tight-knit team where leaders know you by name, your work creates visible impact every single day, and hard work gets rewarded with real opportunities. If you're energized by challenge, want limitless growth potential, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, keep reading.
The Role:
As a Warehouse Quality Control Associate, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory and ensuring that all outbound shipments meet our high standards. You will be responsible for overseeing all outbound orders, identifying order discrepancies and damages, and partnering with the warehouse team to ensure timely resolution of any issues. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in precision.

This is a full-time, on-site role located at our South Fulton campus. The hours for this role are typically 6am - 2pm. Compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Inspect all outbound orders for accuracy in item count, product specifications, damages, and customer requirements.
  • Review and reconcile pick tickets, shipping labels, and packing lists to ensure consistency and correctness.
  • Identify and escalate errors such as incorrect, missing, or damaged items and work closely with the warehouse team to resolve them promptly.
  • Enforce and uphold established quality standards to minimize shipment discrepancies and improve order accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within a warehouse environment, ideally in a third-party logistics (3PL) or manufacturing setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse processes.
  • Proven ability to spot and resolve order discrepancies efficiently.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Team-first attitude with a willingness to support broader warehouse operations when needed.

The Hiring Process:
We value your time and are committed to a streamlined, respectful hiring experience. Candidates selected for further consideration will begin with a brief phone screen with a member of our HR team. If mutual interest is confirmed, you’ll be invited for an in-person interview at our warehouse to meet the team and tour the facility.
