POSITION SUMMARY: The Cook I position is an entry-level culinary role focused on learning kitchen fundamentals, maintaining consistency, and supporting daily kitchen operations under direct supervision. Team members in this role are expected to follow recipes, portion standards, food safety procedures, and kitchen cleanliness expectations while developing foundational cooking skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Execute basic food preparation and simple menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, plating, and product quality
  • Assist with station setup, stocking, and breakdown procedures
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, coolers, and storage areas
  • Properly label, date, and rotate products using FIFO procedures
  • Learn and apply proper knife skills and basic cooking techniques
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Complete assigned prep lists and side work efficiently
  • Assist other stations as needed during peak business periods
