Job description

Position Summary:
The Unified Communications (UC) Specialist will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining our unified communications infrastructure, ensuring seamless and efficient communication and collaboration for our lawyers and administrative professionals as well as our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Teams as well as the Zoom One platform including Zoom Phone, and the hardware that supports Zoom and other collaboration options available within the firm.
The UC Specialist will troubleshoot complex issues and provide exceptional support to our teams. The successful candidate will configure and deploy Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone and Meetings as well as support other technologies in this arena. Integration of these platforms with existing IT infrastructure and third-party applications will serve as a major part of the role.
The UC Specialist will be the main point of contact to work with service providers to troubleshoot software and hardware related to the firm's AV and telephony systems. It is expected the UC Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal impact on business operations, assess communication needs, develop solutions, and provide training and guidance to end-users and IT staff on the use of unified communications tools.
The UC Specialist will ensure the AV technologies remain in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations and implementing and maintain security best practices for unified communications systems.
Key responsibilities related to the role are performing routine maintenance, updates, and patch management for all unified communications systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone and Meetings through the Admin Console.
  • Ongoing maintenance of Cisco video conferencing equipment in Webex Control Hub.
  • Investigation and analysis of call logs from Zoom Phone, Zoom Meetings and Webex Meetings.
  • Closely working with the UC providers to troubleshoot software and hardware including conference room systems.
  • Configuration and optimization of network elements to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitoring system health and proactively address any issues to minimize downtime.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting of complex issues for clients, addressing issues related to Zoom Meetings, Phone and Rooms and Cisco Webex Rooms including the creation of documentation of unified communications configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Job Requirements:
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA) are a plus.
  • CompTIA Network+ (Plus) certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone and Cisco Unified Communications.
  • Experience with cloud-based unified communications solutions is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, VoIP, and video conferencing technologies.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
