Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Classification: Non-exempt
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Salary:$23-$26/hr(Can be negotiated depending on experience)
Vendor fee-3%
SHIFT-9AM TO 6PM
Food manufacturing experience is a must have
Summary:
The Quality Control Supervisor will organize and coordinate activities related to the implementation of quality and food safety programs and standards in a USDA food-manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
  • SQF Practitioner Certificate preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing Quality and Food Safety Operations in a USDA food manufacturing facility
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and implement SOPs related to Food Quality and Food Safety
  • Assist with audits (USDA, FDA, Health Department, Virginia Dept. of Agriculture, etc.)
  • Oversee pre-requisite programs (maintenance, supplier approval, pest control, sanitation, etc.)
  • Monitor plant compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Maintain QA programs in line with SQF food safety and quality codes
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and internal non-conformities
  • Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
