Job description

Position Overview


Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Specialist to support a confidential public works infrastructure upgrade in the United States. This role will be heavily site-based and focused on the verification, validation, and inspection of medium and high voltage electrical systems, including switchgear and protection controls. This position will support a leading OEM-led program and play a key role in ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform on-site QA/QC inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings
  • Verify installation and commissioning of medium and high voltage systems, including switchgear and protection equipment
  • Conduct field validation of equipment, wiring, and control systems
  • Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications to confirm accuracy of installed work
  • Identify non-conformances and support resolution in coordination with engineering and construction teams
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate QA/QC records
  • Support adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all electrical scopes
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely execution of quality activities


Required Qualifications


  • Demonstrated experience in electrical QA/QC, inspection, or field engineering roles
  • Strong background in medium and high voltage systems
  • Experience working with switchgear (SF6/FS6 or equivalent) and electrical protection systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Hands-on field experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and compliance requirements


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting OEM-led projects
  • Background in power distribution, substations, or large-scale infrastructure upgrades
  • Familiarity with commissioning and startup activities
  • Prior experience working on public works or regulated projects
