Throne is a fast-growing Series B startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, we're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026 - 2027.

We recognize an unspoken problem: that better bathroom accommodations are sorely needed in most cities. Public and retail bathrooms are neither positioned to meet demand nor incentivized to provide the quality experience people deserve.

About the Role

Throne is looking for outgoing, reliable Brand Ambassadors on a contract basis to represent us at high-visibility events, festivals, and community activations in New York City. You'll be the friendly, local face of Throne, helping keep lines moving, answering questions, and making sure every person who uses a Throne unit has a smooth experience.

This is a per-event role: You will work on specific activations (think festivals, large public gatherings, tabling at community events, or major moments like the World Cup or Olympics) rather than a set schedule.

The hourly rate for this position starts at $40.00. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's applicable experience and skills. This role is a contract position, and is not eligible for other benefits.

What You'll Do

• Manage line flow and monitor foot traffic at Throne units during events
• Greet people at Throne units and answer simple questions about how they work
• Walk through crowds sharing information about nearby Thrones
• Represent Throne at community events, including tabling
• Be a friendly, informed, on-the-ground presence for the brand
• Capture photo/video content on-site for our social team to edit and publish
• Brand Ambassadors will never be asked to clean a Throne, be trained on how to clean a Throne, or perform maintenance

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable engaging with strangers in busy, high-energy environments
• A natural extrovert
• Reliable and punctual, able to commit to scheduled event shifts
• Good judgment under pressure with crowds, lines, and occasional confusion
• Local to New York City and familiar with the area is a plus
• Restaurant- or service-industry work experience
• Currently working towards a Marketing or PR degree (or have obtained one), or similar experience
• Comfortable capturing content for social media
• Proficiency in Spanish or other languages spoken by the communities we serve is a plus.

Training & Onboarding

All Brand Ambassadors complete a brief standardized orientation before their first shift, covering:

• Brand messaging and how to represent Throne
• Throne unit basics
• Safety and line-flow protocol
• Event do's and don'ts
  

Day-of Logistics:

• Shifts are scheduled around specific events and high-traffic windows, rather than a set schedule
• You will receive a branded Throne vest, and necessary event materials
• You will receive all communication via text and email

Throne Brand Ambassadors are hourly contractors and are not eligible for Throne's benefit plans.
