Job description

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time QA/QC Manager-Data Center in Chester, Virginia.   

Job Summary

  • Assists in development of Quality Assurance standards and continuous improvement evaluations and revisions.
  • Develops thorough understanding of project specifications, design, equipment, installations, quality standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Develops project specific QA/QC plans and ensures implementation with Project Team.
  • Manages deliverables of all L1, L2, L3 QAQC, Testing, and CX coordination.
  • Works closely with the project CX Team to close out L4/L5 CX activities.
  • Trains and evaluates project QA/QC staff in all Quality related activities on the project.
  • Participates in employee onboarding and continued field staff training.
  • Coordinates Quality Reviews with project teams and submits reviews to management.
  • Performs onsite inspections of equipment and installations.
  • Responsible for reporting all QA/QC activities through project specific software and internal communications.
  • Proactively works with Project Team to ensure all installations are installed correctly the first time.
  • Performs work onsite with the Project Team in performing all inspections and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 year's recent electrical (industrial or commercial) construction experience.
  • Minimum 4 year's experience in QAQC or Commissioning of Electrical Systems.
  • Proficiency with Industry Standard QAQC/CX software.
  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • Detailed understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment, and installations.
  • Data Center experience is preferred.
  • Electrical Field experience not required but preferred.
  • Through knowledge of construction disciplines.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer programs (EXCEL/WORD).
  • Strong communication (written/verbal), problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
