Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the facility's quality programs to ensure products meet established standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and maintain a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.

  • Lead the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable regulations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, policies, and documentation
  • Oversee inspection and testing processes to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance product performance
  • Manage internal and external audits, including customer audits and regulatory inspections
  • Lead, coach, and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure proper training and adherence to quality standards across all employees
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality expectations
  • Report on key quality metrics to leadership and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, root cause analysis)
  • Experience with ISO standards or similar quality frameworks preferred
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Primarily based in a manufacturing facility environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
  • Regular walking of the production floor and interaction with operations teams
  • May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toe boots
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, audits, or collaboration across sites
