Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Line Technician Supervisor 

Position Reports to: Line Services Manager

Department/Location: Line Department - Eden Prairie, MN

Schedule: 4:00am-2:00PM (four ten hours shifts per week)



Primary Operational Objectives:

The Line Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a Line Services Team, including managing the daily operations, training, development, and assignments of team members.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a Line Services Team by assigning tasks, monitoring workload and distributing projects.
  • Assist with initial team member training.
  • Conduct new hire and annual performance reviews for their team.
  • Ensure all team members are safely and accurately conducting operations in accordance with established policies and procedures which comply with local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Encourage high quality performance of team members through positive motivation and open communication. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to aircraft crews, passengers, and vendors. 
  • Responsible for all fueling and moving of aircraft on the airfield including parking, towing, storing and ground support. 
  • Ensure all radio and written communication is clear and accurate by verifying receipts, fuel tickets, and in-house accounts/records.
  • Police ramp areas in and about hangars, lounge areas, shops, and other areas of the company to ensure the safety and security of facilities.
  • Manage and maintain fuel inventories by completing fuel logs, fuel tank/truck meter readings, and ordering fuel shipments. 
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the airport authority and airport community.
  • Assist in managing the department shift schedule including PTO requests, approving timecards, and team member trades. 
  • Manage aircraft deicing operations within accordance of specified standards.
  • Assists with facility maintenance and grounds upkeep including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager. 

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience as an aviation Line Technician/Aircraft Fueler required
  • 1 to 3 years’ supervisory experience desired 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be detail-orientated
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities/fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts and be on-call
  • Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
  • High school diploma or GED

 Physical Demands:

  • Regular lifting of 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling and pushing
  • Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures and all-weather conditions
  • Ability to work with heights
