What you will have an opportunity to do:
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing banquet and catering menus.
  • Lead banquet culinary operations for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company standards, recipes, and quality expectations.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop banquet cooks and stewards while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely execution of all banquet functions.
  • Monitor food quality, consistency, and portion control throughout service.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving products.
  • Minimize food waste and manage labor efficiently to meet financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Banquets, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Step into restaurant culinary operations as needed to support overall hotel success.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory culinary experience, preferably in banquet or hotel operations.
  • Previous luxury hotel or upscale catering experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet production, plating, and high-volume execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food cost controls, inventory management, and labor management.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
