This role requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to lift and carry packages. It is a great opportunity for those looking for temporary work with flexible hours.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a PVD technician?

A PVD Technician is primarily responsible for preparing substrates, setting up and operating vacuum deposition equipment, monitoring process parameters, and performing quality checks on coated products. They often work alongside engineers and quality control teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement improvements. Keeping accurate process records, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols are also important aspects of the role. This position usually involves shift work in a cleanroom or controlled environment, requiring both independent initiative and strong teamwork.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the PVD position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Technician, you need a solid background in materials science or engineering, technical training, and experience operating vacuum coating equipment. Familiarity with PVD tools, thin film measurement systems, and relevant safety certifications is essential.
