Remote Entry Level Ai Engineer information

What is a remote entry level AI engineer?

A Remote Entry Level AI Engineer is a professional who works from a remote location to help develop, test, and implement artificial intelligence (AI) systems and models. They typically support more experienced engineers by writing code, analyzing data, and assisting with machine learning tasks. Entry level roles often require basic programming skills (such as Python), familiarity with AI frameworks, and a passion for learning new technologies. Working remotely allows for flexibility, but it also requires good communication and self-management skills. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those transitioning to AI engineering from related fields.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote entry level AI engineer?

To thrive as a Remote Entry Level AI Engineer, you need a solid understanding of programming languages (like Python), foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with technical tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebooks, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for excelling in a remote setting. These skills ensure you can contribute meaningfully to AI projects, learn quickly in a rapidly evolving field, and collaborate efficiently with distributed teams.

What are the typical collaboration methods for remote entry level AI engineers working on distributed teams?

Remote entry-level AI engineers usually collaborate with team members through a mix of video conferencing, instant messaging, and shared project management tools. You'll often participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions using platforms like Slack, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. Version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab are essential for coordinating code contributions. Building strong communication skills is important, as you'll need to clearly articulate ideas and ask questions despite not being physically present with your colleagues.

Job description

**Position:** Member of Technical Staff (Node.js + AI Workflows)
**Location:** Remote (Must be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina)
**About Arative / Bancoli:**
* We are a distributed fintech team redefining software development. We don't hire "experts" to write code-we hire brilliant overseers to guide, correct, and empower our AI models and assistants.
* Our culture prioritizes High Energy, High Integrity, and the humility to know that the AI is the true subject-matter expert. Your job is "Help the AI to help the company!"
**Role Overview:**
We're hiring a hands-on technical generalist to help enterprise customers turn AI workflows into working production systems. This is the next version of Solutions Engineering: part customer-facing technical partner, part infrastructure/debugging specialist, part AI-agent operator. AI will do more of the raw implementation work; your job is to steer it, validate it, integrate it, and make sure the customer outcome actually works.
* **Direct the AI:** Operate as the project leader where AI is your primary workforce. You will break down complex problems, provide the necessary context, and iterate with the AI to achieve perfection.
* **Validate and Orchestrate:** Validate the architectural, security, and performance decisions generated by AI agents for our secure payment systems.
* **Multi-Disciplinary Generalist:** Flex across domains (backend, infrastructure, fintech logic). You give the AI the "hands and tools" it needs to succeed.
**Requirements:**
* Own customer technical onboarding from workflow discovery through production rollout.
* Translate messy customer requirements into APIs, automations, integrations, evals, and deployment plans.
* Use AI agents as implementation partners, then review, test, debug, and harden their output.
* Work across Node.js/TypeScript, APIs, databases, auth, queues/webhooks, GCP, Cloudflare, and observability.
* Diagnose infrastructure issues: networking, environment setup, permissions, DNS, auth, latency, data flow, and reliability.
* Bring repeated customer lessons back into product, tooling, docs, and reusable playbooks.
* Be the calm technical human in the loop when customers need judgment, context, and follow-through.
**Why Join Us?**
* **Unlimited AI Access:** Near unlimited access to state-of-the-art AI models and tooling is non-negotiable and provided.
* **High Leverage:** No menial coding. You will focus entirely on systems thinking, context injection, and extreme quality control.
* **Unique Culture:** Work with a small team achieving the output of a large engineering department.
