PVD Machine Operator

Lincoln, RI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
 
 
A PVD Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting PVD/vacuum processing equipment used in manufacturing. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve process or equipment issues.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor PVD/vacuum coating and processing equipment.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Monitor production processes and identify process-related problems.
  • Ensure equipment and processes operate consistently and accurately.
  • Learn and apply vacuum technology and PVD processes.
Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial processing/manufacturing experience.
  • Previous PVD, vacuum coating, or vacuum processing experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and process-monitoring skills.
  • PLC/computer experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Technical education/Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant hands-on experience is important.
  • Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
