SCADA Consultant
Location: Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SCADA Consultant to design, implement, configure, maintain, and support Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for industrial automation environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SCADA platforms, PLC integration, HMI development, industrial communication protocols, and OT/ICS cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain SCADA applications.
  • Implement and support HMI screens, alarms, trends, and reporting.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, and field devices.
  • Configure industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Perform SCADA system upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop scripts, automation workflows, and system enhancements.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize reliability and availability.
  • Support commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site acceptance testing (SAT).
  • Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and automation teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices for Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
  • Provide production support and resolve critical incidents.

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in SCADA development and support.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more SCADA platforms:

    • Ignition SCADA

  • Experience with PLC programming and integration:
