• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans addressing specific issues such as trauma, anxiety, and depression.
• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to foster growth and promote mental wellness.
• Establish measurable therapeutic goals and regularly assess client progress, adapting treatment approaches as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
• Utilize teletherapy options to reach clients who may face geographical or accessibility challenges while maintaining a focus on client engagement.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and peer supervision to enhance therapeutic skills and ensure high standards of care.

Your primary focus will be assisting a diverse clientele, including individuals who have experienced trauma, struggle with mental health disorders, or require support in navigating life transitions. The clinic serves a varied population within the Greater Oakland area, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultural, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds. Your role is pivotal in providing these clients with the necessary guidance and support for healing and growth.

• Possession of a current and valid state license as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Empathy, a compassionate approach, and a non-judgmental attitude in all interactions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to navigate a flexible schedule efficiently.

We would favor candidates with prior experience in community mental health settings or private practice, particularly those skilled in providing teletherapy services. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also advantageous as it supports efficient client management and documentation processes.
