Currently, Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and help maintain the exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation our guests expect. This role is responsible for supervising housekeeping team members, inspecting guest rooms and public spaces, coordinating daily assignments, and ensuring compliance with Hilton brand standards and company expectations. Requirements:RequirementsWhat You'll Do:
  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Assign daily work schedules and room assignments to housekeeping team members.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently and according to hotel standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Oversee room cleaning, linen and towel management, amenity replenishment, and overall room readiness.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance teams to address guest requests, room status updates, maintenance concerns, and service recovery needs.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and take corrective action to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of housekeeping team members.
  • Support hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ongoing staff development.
  • Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory while assisting with expense control and budget management.
  • Develop and promote efficient housekeeping procedures that improve service quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
What We're Looking For

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate cleaning techniques and assist team members when necessary.
  • Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and respond appropriately to operational needs.
