Job description

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager for our growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, GA. This position will oversee and lead all procurement activities for Price Industries, ensuring materials, equipment, and services are sourced at the right cost, quality, and delivery to support production and operational goals. This is a hands-on leadership role where the Purchasing Manager will also function as a working buyer, directly managing purchasing activities while mentoring and training new buyers on systems, processes, and supplier management.
Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production, engineering, and corporate goals.
•    Serve as a working buyer, handling daily procurement activities, placing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and ensuring timely material availability.
•    Train, coach, and develop new buyers, with a focus on IFS ERP system prociency and best practices in purchasing.
•    Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contracts to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
•    Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term agreements with key vendors.
•    Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to forecast demand and align purchasing plans with production schedules.
•    Identify and qualify new suppliers to reduce risk and improve supply chain resilience.
•    Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and material shortages; proactively address potential disruptions.
•    Drive cost savings and process improvements through supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
•    Prepare reports and KPIs for leadership, highlighting purchasing performance, cost savings, and supplier risks.
Qualications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related eld (Master’s preferred).
•    7+ years of progressive purchasing/supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
•    Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
•    Proven track record of cost reduction, supplier development, and strategic sourcing.
•    Hands-on buyer experience with strong ERP knowledge (IFS experience strongly preferred).
•    Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred Skills
•    Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or industrial equipment industries.
•    Certication such as CPM, CPSM, or APICS.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
