Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, is seeking a full-time Receiver / Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator for our Dining areas.
The Receiver / Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator helps control food cost, reduce waste and spoilage, support vendor accountability, and maintain safe, organized, and service-ready kitchen and dining storage areas.
The Receiver / Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator performs a variety of duties to support Dining Services, including maintaining accurate inventory records; coordinating food and supply purchasing; receiving, unloading / moving, and sorting deliveries; loading boxes onto carts; delivering dining supplies via cart to kitchen and storage areas; ensuring products are stored, properly rotated, and available for meal service, catering, and special events. The Receiver may also assist with general utility duties such as washing dishes.
A valid PA driver's license; proof of personal auto insurance; a driving record free from serious or excessive violation is required.
The Receiver / Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds; must be able to move and carry boxes; must be able to stand and walk frequently during an 8 hour shift; must be able to push supply carts; must be able to frequently bend, reach, stoop during an 8 hour shift.
Work Schedule
  • Full-time / benefits-eligible: 40 hours per week; early morning and afternoon hours; onsite; occasional Saturday or Sunday hours may be required

Requirements
Core Requirements:
  • a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps., and databases independently

Additional Requirements for this Position:
  • previous relevant experience in food service, dining operations, hospitality, or senior living
  • experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory control
  • a valid PA driver's license; proof of personal auto insurance; a driving record free from serious or excessive violation
