Job description

SMS Equipment is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to support warehouse operations through inventory management, order processing, shipping coordination, quality control, and workflow optimization. Reporting to the Parts Manager/Warehouse Supervisor, this role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting production work scopes, coordinating parts movements, and maintaining efficient warehouse processes.

Work Location: Acheson, AB.
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 per annum.
Work Arrangement: Fixed on site โ€“ working from the office or customer site each day.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.

What You'll Do
  • Manage inventory activities including stock control, cycle counts, reconciliations, inventory transactions, replenishment requests, and inventory reporting.
  • Process parts orders, stock receipts, returns, transfers, and purchase orders while maintaining accurate records within the ERP system.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, schedule transportation, track deliveries, and resolve shipping or logistics issues.
  • Support production operations by coordinating parts movements, tracking work orders, maintaining delivery schedules, and communicating potential delays.
  • Work closely with suppliers, carriers, warehouse personnel, buyers, supervisors, and internal departments to ensure materials and parts are available when required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through bin location management, inventory checks, quality inspections, discrepancy investigation, and documentation control.
  • Generate production and operational reports, monitor workflow status, and provide data and scheduling support to warehouse and production teams.
  • Assist with receiving, order picking, parts staging, internal customer requests, inventory inquiries, and general warehouse operations as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements, improving cross-functional communication, and helping streamline warehouse and production workflows.
  • Perform administrative duties including record keeping, document management, filing, and maintaining electronic records and reports.

The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree in business or logistics along with a minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience in an administrative or expeditor position. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational abilities, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic warehouse environment.ย
