Job Description Summary:The Assistant Manager, Purchasing is responsible for supporting end-to-end supply chain operations through strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory management, demand planning coordination, vendor relationship management, and continuous process improvement. This role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and external suppliers to ensure product availability, optimize inventory levels, mitigate supply chain risks, and support the achievement of business objectives.
The position plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining supplier performance, and improving supply chain effectiveness through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Job Description:
  • Manage the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply planning of beauty and cosmetics finished goods, raw materials, packaging components, and related materials to ensure cost competitiveness, product quality, supply continuity, and timely delivery.
  • Support strategic sourcing and procurement activities by identifying, evaluating, qualifying, and onboarding suppliers that meet the company's quality, regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while leading negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, safety stock programs, inventory commitments, and risk-sharing arrangements to support the company's financial and operational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through regular business reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, cost, delivery, service, and supply reliability.
  • Coordinate demand planning and inventory management activities to maintain optimal inventory levels, improve forecast accuracy, and ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and suppliers to align supply plans with business requirements, customer demand, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support new product development (NPD) and product launch initiatives by coordinating supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, material readiness, lead time management, and production planning.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material costs, supplier capacity, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities, mitigate supply risks, and ensure business continuity.
  • Analyze procurement, inventory, and supply chain data to track key performance indicators (KPIs), support decision-making, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency, data accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, purchasing procedures, regulatory requirements, and supply chain best practices.
  • Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives related to supply chain optimization, inventory management, sourcing strategy, cost reduction, and business growth.
