Labcorp is seeking a Research And Development Intern to join our Oncology Medical Team located in Durham, NC!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:
  • Learn about clinical testing and processing behind testing development
  • Learn techniques, including Next Generation Sequencing and data analysis
  • Development lead for a new Oncology Next Generation Sequencing assay
  • Maintain clear, thorough, and accurate experiment notes
  • Apply critical thinking skills to experimental results
  • Communicate findings at laboratory meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics or Biological Science
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-6 months experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies
Additional Job Standards:
  • Hands-on experience in a cell or molecular biology-based laboratory
  • Interest in the clinical testing or molecular research fields
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new things
