What does a Purchasing Estimating Manager do?

A Purchasing Estimating Manager is responsible for overseeing the estimation of costs and procurement of materials or services needed for projects. They analyze project requirements, obtain quotes from suppliers, and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value. Additionally, they collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure that material and service estimates are accurate and align with project budgets and timelines. A Purchasing Estimating Manager works closely with departments such as engineering, project management, and accounting to ensure accurate cost assessments and timely procurement of materials.
