Magnolia Plumbing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Coordinator to support our procurement operations. This role is responsible for managing the purchasing process from requisition through order fulfillment, ensuring materials and equipment are procured accurately, on time, and at the best value. The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Receive and review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, confirmations, changes, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate returns, warranties, and vendor credits, and track outstanding credits through resolution.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Resolve purchasing issues and delivery delays with vendors and internal departments.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with all departments to support purchasing needs and material availability.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and purchasing best practices.
  • Experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and procurement software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
