JOB TITLE: Purchasing & Asset Coordinator
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time
SCHEDULED HOURS: 1st shift
PROGRAM/LOCATION: Center Street II Manchester, CT

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates operational purchases, prepares purchase orders for material and supplies as needed and coordinate with site Managers to maintain levels of inventory for all CHR sites.
  • Acquire and manage acquisition of supplies, equipment contracts and operational service contracts through use till disposal for all programs and facilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate equipment / appliance maintenance and service contracts, warranties and maintains related records.
  • Negotiate with vendors, as required, to obtain the most economical result system wide.
  • Responsible for obtaining competitive bids when required.
  • Manages the CHR vehicle fleet from acquisition through use till disposal
  • Maintain working relationships with all Office /Site Managers and Division Directors to ensure materials and supplies required are of the appropriate quality / inventoried and received in a timely manner.
  • Monitors for any noteworthy trends in the use and cost of supplies and provides comparative analysis of suppliers, supplies and services as requested.
  • Coordinates shipping and receiving at all CHR sites, inclusive of periodical delivery of supplies.
  • In conjunction with Facilities & Asset Coordinator:
    • Record and maintain accurate inventory data of all CHR's furniture and supplies from purchase to recycle and/or disposal.
    • Evaluate newly acquired assets upon placement for the purpose of quality and quantity.
    • Coordinate with all parties for purchases on space needs for new programs or new sites for occupancy.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency, program, license and accreditation regulations and standards.
    • Perform a variety of routine and non-routine administrative, clerical, data collection tasks specific to the department.
    • Participates in staff meetings, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
    • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates' degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
Experience: Must have three (3) years business experience including contact with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all staff and external contacts.
