Are you a skilled negotiator with a passion for building strong vendor relationships and streamlining processes? As the Purchasing Manager at D amp;P, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our projects. You’ll be the go-to person for managing our vendor base, negotiating contracts and ensuring smooth payment processes. Your expertise will directly support departments including Estimating, Shop, Project Management, Technology, Accounting and Contracts, all while helping drive the successful operation of our dynamic Company.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Lead the preparation for Request for Proposals/Quotations for subcontracts, logistics, and facilities.
  • Negotiate and process change orders for subcontracts.
  • Collaborate in project meetings to stay informed of communications and timelines.
  • Manage logistics, facilities and material orders, ensuring smooth transactions.
  • Review and process invoices to support accurate and timely payments.
  • Build and maintain existing and new vendor relationships that contribute to project success.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of three Purchasing professionals and two Shipping/Receiving Associates.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Purchasing or Contracting.
  • Solid experience in contract negotiation, vendor management or procurement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage various task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monday- Friday, in-office position.
Preferred
  • Five (5) to Eight (8) years’ experience with Contracts, Purchasing and/or Sales.
  • Experience in cost accounting and budgeting.
  • Background in Construction, Millwork, Manufacturing and Operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like the FAR, UCC, and AIA Provisions.
  • Procore and/or Concur experience.
