Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for an entry- to mid-level professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior office experience and be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven. This is a perfect opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

What will I do?

In this role, you will help keep purchasing, vendor communication, and material orders organized and moving smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Place purchase orders for materials and freight.
  • Track orders, follow up with vendors, and expedite orders when needed.
  • Assign landed costs to purchase orders as receipts are processed.
  • Coordinate with Shipping regarding orders ready for pickup.
  • Request inspection reports, material certifications, and other required documentation from vendors.
  • Maintain accurate order information and notes in the ERP system.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, management, and coworkers.
  • Assist with phones and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 2 years of experience in an office, purchasing, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
