Location: Based in Toledo, OR (with travel to Halsey, OR)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager, Sales - Pulp & Paper to lead commercial efforts within the pulp and paper market. This role is based in Toledo, Oregon and includes regular travel to our Halsey, OR location. The successful candidate will be both a strategic sales leader and a hands-on people manager, overseeing a small technical support team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share within the pulp and paper industry.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key customers, serving as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two direct reports: Service Technician and a Support Engineer
  • Support and perform standard work as required to ensure safe and effective treatment programs, generate weekly and monthly reports, maintain inventory, order materials, equipment uptime
  • Collaborate closely with operations, service, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecast demand, and report on key metrics.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive activity.
  • Support customer visits, trials, and technical discussions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven sales leadership experience, preferably 5+ years within pulp & paper, industrial manufacturing, or a related technical industry.
  • Prior experience as a people manager with demonstrated ability to develop and motivate employees.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to work effectively with engineering and service teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Toledo and Halsey, OR, and occasionally to customer sites.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts

The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,130.00 and $149,776.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
