Publisher / Market President
Lee Enterprises, a leading media company operating across 25 states, is seeking dynamic, growth-focused Publishers/Market Presidents to lead local markets. This role is responsible for driving the overall strategy and performance of local operations, including advertising sales, editorial direction, digital growth, community engagement, and financial results.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a track record of success in both traditional and digital media environments, and a strong passion for supporting and advancing local journalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue, audience, and market presence
  • Oversee all aspects of local operations, including advertising, editorial, and digital platforms
  • Lead initiatives to accelerate digital transformation and expand digital advertising revenue
  • Drive advertising sales performance and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local businesses, and key stakeholders
  • Serve as a visible and engaged leader representing the publication within the community
