Job description


Graphic designers produce visual solutions to communication problems by analyzing the condition and finding the most appropriate means of delivering a message. Graphic designers make use of diverse methods including typeset, color, photographs and illustrations to create a general layout. They design the overall outline of signs, publications, marketing brochures, web pages, promotional displays, and logos. By hand and using computer software, prepares technical and non-technical visual presentations through designing art and copy layouts for publication.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication or related field with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Has knowledge of and utilizes applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with creative personnel, marketing, and other graphic professionals to gather information and materials needed for design.
  • Illustrates established design concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment.
  • Assists with the coordination of photography, artwork, and printing.
  • Manage printers to ensure budget and brand is maintained
  • Presenting finalized ideas, designs and concepts to clients or account managers
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief at minimum cost and time
