Job Title: Senior Manager, Public Relations (Americas)

Reports To: Global Public Relations Team Leader & Americas PR Director
Job Summary
AVEVA is hiring a senior PR leader to drive Americas earned media with a focus on building AVEVA's profile in California and the San Francisco Bay Area. This role partners closely with global and regional stakeholders to develop integrated PR plans, manage agency relationships, deliver measurable outcomes, and support key communications moments and issues management as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with External Communications peers, marketing teams, internal communications, executives, subject matter experts, and local agencies to develop and execute integrated US communication and PR plans, with a focus on technical PR and increasing AVEVA's profile in the Bay Area.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with regional PR agency(ies), including budget management, KPI setting and monitoring, and performance management; report progress to the Global PR Director and Team Leader.
  • Manage PR performance measurement for the region, including development of dashboards and regular reporting against tactical and strategic KPIs.
  • Manage the regional contribution to key milestone events, including coordinating and hosting interviews with key media, in partnership with the Global PR Director and Team Leader.
  • Develop press materials including media kits, op-eds, thought leadership articles, talking points, media briefs, and news releases.
  • Proactively identify media opportunities (especially in California/Bay Area and technical media) and provide rapid responses to relevant inbound media enquiries.
  • Contribute creative ideas and approaches to increase the profile of the AVEVA brand globally.
  • Support internal communications updates to key stakeholders to demonstrate program progress and outcomes, in alignment with global PR leadership.
  • Manage PR-related procurement and associated processes for regional PR events and activities, including those related to agency management.
  • Support regional events (virtual and in-person) as needed, with a focus on California/Bay Area visibility and other Americas regions as required.
  • Provide issues and crisis communications support for the region on an as-needed basis, aligned with the Global PR Team Leader and supported by the global team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, external communications, or media relations (in-house and/or agency).
  • Demonstrated success securing earned media coverage and building relationships with business, trade, and/or technical media.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including the ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear narratives.
  • Experience managing PR agencies, including defining scope, setting KPIs, and monitoring performance.
  • Experience with PR measurement and reporting, including tracking KPIs and building dashboards or performance summaries.
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders and collaborating effectively across a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% throughout the year.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of PR/external communications experience, including meaningful in-house experience at a global technology/SaaS or enterprise software company.
  • Experience supporting a software technology vendor (preferred, not required).
  • Experience with technical/product communications for complex offerings and innovation-focused storytelling.
  • Experience with analyst relations and/or influencer programs (nice to have).
  • Established relationships with California/Bay Area and/or technical media (or a demonstrated ability to build them quickly).
