Job description

Clinical Data Integration Analyst
*This is a hybrid position.
*Local to the Raleigh, NC area only, please.
Description:
  • This role will lead technical assistance work for our client as
    they work with participants and their electronic health record (EHR) vendors on
    implementing improving and maintaining data integrations.
  • Supports and monitors technical infrastructure for NC HIEA and SAS environments.
  • Manages change orders bug fixes and updates for the NC HealthConnex Clinical Portal.
  • Develops and supports data queries to assist with data analysis, verifying data
    extracts, data transformation, load job streams, and developing business
    analysis reports.
  • Supports various analytic and outbound data services with a specific focus on developing Queries utilizing SQL, SAS, and InterSystems HealthShare tools to perform exploratory data analysis EDA and reports as needed.
     
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact and
  • communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with SQL SAS and InterSystems HealthShare
  • The ability to lead technical analyses across complex electronic health record EHR integrations
  • Subject matter expert SME level of knowledge working with clinical data EHRs HL7 v2 and C-CDA messages
  • Mature knowledge of health information exchange
    data standards and formats including knowledge of EHRs data architecture
  • Experience with analyzing and documenting clinical processes and requirement specifications for health data exchange
  • Understanding of general IT architecture principles technical designs and specification documents
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance as they relate to EHR systems and Health Information Exchange HIE
  • Experience developing training materials or end user reports with regard to clinical data and clinical systems workflows
     
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support technical infrastructure for client and SAS platforms ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Ensure stability and performance of data exchange systems and applications.
  • Manage and coordinate change orders bug fixes and enhancements for the NC HealthConnex Clinical Portal.
  • Develop and support complex data queries to assist with data validation transformation and reporting.
  • Verify data extracts and monitor ETL extract transform load job streams. Generate
    business analysis reports based on internal and external data requirements.
  • Use SQL SAS and InterSystems HealthShare tools to perform data exploration and generate insights for various analytic and outbound services.
  • Lead technical analysis efforts bringing detailed knowledge of EHR systems and data integration methodologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data architects, developers, analysts, and clinical stakeholders to ensure data quality and system reliability.

Skills:
  • SQL, SAS & InterSystems HealthShare – core technical toolset for queries, analytics, and data platforms, Required 5 Years
  • EHR systems & clinical data expertise – SME-level knowledge of EHR architecture, HL7 v2, and C-CDA standards , Required 5 Years
  • ETL & data analysis – validating extracts, monitoring load jobs, transforming data, business reporting , Required 5 Years
  • HIE data standards & HIPAA compliance – health information exchange formats and regulatory knowledge , Required 5 Years
  • Technical leadership – leading complex EHR integration analyses and cross-functional coordination , Required 5 Years

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technical analyst, data engineer, or related role involving healthcare data and analytics.
