Location: Richmond, VA (and potentially other Public Finance offices, including Towson, MD; Charlotte, NC; and/or Roswell, GA)
Rate of Pay: $30/hour

Job Description:
Davenport Public Finance, providing financial advice, analysis, and consulting services to state and local governments and non-profit institutions, is hiring two summer interns for 2027 at our Richmond, Virginia headquarters. Candidates will have the potential opportunity for a full-time position after graduation in suburban Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, the Washington, DC metro area, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.
This paid internship will concentrate on financial database research and development to support senior executives with designing and executing financial strategies for clients. Competitive salary and schedule flexibility are available for this eight-week internship (anticipated start date is May 31, 2027, but the eight-week period will be mutually agreed upon between the candidate and Davenport).
Qualifications:
  • Must be scheduled to graduate from college in December 2027 or May 2028
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Background in Finance or Economics preferred
  • Proficient in Excel with superior writing skills
