Job description

Overview
Big Sky Resort is seeking a friendly, detail oriented and efficient Public Area (PA) Supervisor. They will lead by example when interacting with guests around the resort and uphold the high standards of cleanliness expected within the properties. The PA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, and training the Public Area Attendant staff. The PA team is responsible for the cleanliness and general appearance of the Resort Public Areas including The Huntley Hotel, Yellowstone Conference Center, Exchange, Snow Crest Building and Mountain Village Plaza. Reports to the Public Area Manager and Public Area Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring personal appearances and enforcing handbook guidelines.
  • Monitoring efficiency & making sure employees are where they should be to perform their assigned duties.
  • Monitor times and duration of breaks taken by on duty staff.
  • Do inspections every day and every night.
  • Insist that all public area attendants show respect to all other employee and guests.
  • Motivate, coach and retrain employees as necessary. Emphasis is always on guest service.
  • Document any action of employees that could result in counseling.
  • Expected to do hourly walk through of all public areas.
  • Responsible to work with our team. Public Attendant's duties are Supervisor's duties as well.
  • Responsible for the completion of any projects assigned.
  • Primary concern at all times is our guests experience and safety.
  • Should enforce and train for the "Boyne Basic L.E.A.D. Values".

Qualifications
  • He/She is required to be professional, positive and helpful to fellow employees and resort guests.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds and Lift 25lbs
  • Ensue staff can answer guest questions in a professional manner.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, motivational skills and the ability to supervise and inspire staff.
  • Ability to keep an organized record of cleaning supplies inventory.
  • Ability to ensure staff are cleaning and supplying designated building areas.
  • Ability to work independently with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Multitasking and problem solving skills.
  • Must be available to work morning shift, mid-shift, night shift, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous Supervisor experience is a plus
