Job description


Assists Managers with assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the Public Area Department and Hotel Division. Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of departmental & property wide procedures.
Job Focus:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for supervising all casino porter, and utility porters
  • Will be involved in scheduling "covering shifts, assigning stations, and inventory
  • Will be involved in all training of new hires
  • Conduct verbal coaching's as necessary
  • Supervises Public Area employees, to ensure that they adhere to and enforce company and Public Area policies, being alert to their duties
  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction

Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience within hospitality industry in similar position
  • Experience in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel preferred
  • Able to work variable shifts as needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate floor care equipment, and usage of chemicals preferred
  • Must perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task
  • Requires good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull heavy objects up to 75 lbs
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
