Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Transportation Agent provides transportation of products between Progressive Treatment Solutions ("PTS") cultivation and production facilities, as well as customer dispensaries and vendor locations. This position provides superior customer service to PTS customers and vendors, ensures accuracy of orders and timeliness of deliveries and completes deliveries in accordance with state standards set by PTS. The Transportation Agent operates under the Security & Transportation Manager through policies and procedures established by PTS and regulations of state and local governing bodies and contributes to the implementation of new or changing policies and procedures. The Transportation Agent strictly adheres to all traffic laws and represents PTS as a courteous and safe driver.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS
Two years of experience providing excellent pickup and delivery service. Must be skilled in customer support and able to follow strict operational guidelines and security policies. Transportation Agent will have the ability to manage schedules and ensure accurate and on time delivery of cargo. Transportation Agent is required to manually document services and enter data into cloud computing databases regarding transportation of cargo, delivery procedures, and best practices. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver's license in Illinois and a good driving history. Transportations Agents are expected to follow PTS's regulations and wear provided uniforms.

  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of deliveries through verification of all items received and delivered.

  • Maintains a polite and professional attitude while delivering product to and from all PTS locations, vendors, and customer dispensaries.
  • Maintains communications with all PTS vendors and customer dispensaries by relaying any questions, comments, or concerns to the appropriate PTS staff member.
  • Responds to order discrepancies by contacting the appropriate PTS staff member or vendor and arranging a solution.
  • Reports and Documentation
  • Maintains accurate records of all transportation activities in accordance with the state and standards set by PTS. Creates schedule based on the day's safest route.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of all deliveries, transfers, and returns between PTS locations, vendor locations, and customer dispensaries in accordance with the state and standards set by PTS.
  • Manages the live communication process when making deliveries. Notifies the Security & Transportation Manager or police immediately in an emergency.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS REQUIRED
Assists with research, communications, or any other assigned projects/tasks.
