Job description

PTE Systems, a leading Engineering, Manufacturer, and Construction firm, is seeking a skilled Concrete Restoration Estimator to join our team. With over 40 years of experience in the post-tension industry, we are the oldest and most experienced post-tension company in the United States. Our Florida-based team is known for quick turnarounds and the ability to solve unforeseen situations with ease and confidence. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and proven experience in Concrete – Structural Restoration, Paint, and Waterproofing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate, timely, and detailed cost estimates on Concrete Restoration projects.
  • Perform accurate quantity surveys, takeoffs, and preparation of subcontractors quote analysis.
  • Collaborate with project teams to evaluate bid specifications and drawings.
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
  • Conduct detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities.
  • Engage in proactive follow up with subcontractors to secure timely and competitive bids.
  • Work closely with Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets.
  • Participate in on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits.
  • Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work for best value.
  • Present cost estimates aligned with customer proposals, considering general and special conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and current databases of cost codes for historical data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related Engineering Degree.
  • 5+ Years of lead estimating experience in the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in Concrete – Structural Restoration, Paint, and Waterproofing.
  • Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
