Work Environment

As a remote LCSW at Gateway Psychotherapy Center, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team, which includes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to identify their emotional, psychological, and social needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address individual patient concerns, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions to support patients dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and grief.
• Provide crisis intervention services as required, effectively de-escalating situations and ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress using electronic medical record systems, ensuring all records are current and compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals in the planning and coordination of comprehensive care for each patient, addressing both physical and mental health needs.
• Engage in regular clinical supervision and staff meetings to foster professional development and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Stay informed on best practices and advancements in the mental health field, integrating new techniques and tools into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals in hospice care, providing a vital support system as they and their families confront end-of-life issues. Your expertise will help address feelings of despair, anxiety, and grief, facilitating a more dignified and peaceful transition for patients. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our patients highlight the importance of culturally sensitive approaches in your practice.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program, emphasizing clinical training and practice.
• A current and valid license to practice clinical social work in the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy services to individuals with varied mental health conditions, preferably in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, essential for building rapport and trust with patients and their families.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, as well as other healthcare technologies that assist with patient care management.
• A commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing education to enhance clinical competencies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with end-of-life care and bereavement counseling.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary team settings, showcasing an ability to work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of community resources relevant to mental health and hospice care that can support patients’ families.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
