Position Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Position Days/Hours: Student contact days; Monday - Friday, Hours TBD
Salary: $25.34/hr. (Tier 6) (contract under negotiations)
Responsible To: Special Education Supervisor and Building Principal
Position Purpose: Work under the direction of the district behavior strategist team, building principal, and building special education coordinator to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and strengthen the overall structure of a center-based program. Serve as a key support to the principal and special education coordinator, increasing their capacity to lead as instructional leaders by proactively planning for student needs and responding effectively to emerging situations. Ensure consistent, timely, and aligned supports across settings. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the unique characteristics of students with disabilities and provide targeted support that aligns with each student's individualized goals and services.
Education/Certification Requirements: Associate's degree, at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on a required ParaEducator assessment within 60 days of hire.
