Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Student Assistant to the Provost Office provides administrative, logistical, and project-based support to ensure smooth and professional operations within a high-profile group of offices/functions overseen by the Provost's office. This role is ideal for a motivated student with strong communication and organizational skills, a high level of discretion, and an interest in education, leadership, public service, or administration.
- Provide operational support to the Provost office staff including the Special Assistant to the Provost, the Registrar's office, the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation or the Academic Operations Manager. (Students will be assigned to one office/function but may be asked to support other areas as needed.)
- Support the planning and execution of departmental events, meetings, trainings and functions.
- Assist with the creation of marketing and other internal information sharing materials.
- Conduct research and prepare background information, summaries, or briefing documents for projects and initiatives assigned.
- Assist with various administrative tasks including but not limited to: data entry/management, scanning, answering office telephone, preparing mailings, greeting and assisting visitors, making copies, opening and distributing mail.
- Contribute to special projects as needed.

- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Notes to Applicant
Work Schedule:
- Up to 10 hours per week
- Must be available during standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Final schedule will be determined based on student availability and office needs
