Job description

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker at our Vantage Point Provo youth crisis shelter in Provo, Utah. In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support, supervision, and guidance to youth ages 10-17 who are experiencing challenges such as family conflict, emotional distress, mental health concerns, trauma-related behaviors, housing instability, or other crises impacting their well-being. As part of a dedicated team, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where youth and families can find stability, hope, and connection to resources during difficult times. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in behavioral health, social services, crisis intervention, or working with youth, with a competitive pay range of $16.49-$20.90/hour and opportunities for professional growth and hands-on experience in a fast-paced, meaningful setting.
Schedule: Friday-Saturday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
Compensation: $16.49-$20.90 DOE

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker
  • Provide compassionate support and supervision to program participants
  • Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines

  • Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately
  • Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other team members

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
  • Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check.
