Shift: 2 - 12 Hour Rotating Shift, available to work either 7am - 730pm or 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and holiday rotation

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Supervises and coordinates unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in assigned area. Responsibilities: Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff.| Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.| Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.| Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.| May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of more responsible leadership experience in a clinical setting.

  • Knowledge of quality management and service excellence. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships, provide instruction to associates and convey information clearly and consistently through excellent written and verbal communication mediums.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED:

Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. ACLS/ BLS certification
