This posting is for multiple openings of Senior Mental Health Counselor Master position at Providence Youth Behavioral Residential Center in Anchorage, AK:

  • 3 positions open for full time, 1.0 FTE, Variable and Day shifts, 40 hours per week schedules.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

  • 1 Per Diem position, 0.01 FTE, Variable shift, hours per week are as needed and not guaranteed (no bonus or relocation).

Provides direct client care services in all assigned areas that includes treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Assists leadership in the development and maintenance of standards of practice, development of quality services and new programs. The Senior Mental Health Counselor-Masters is a resource for other clinicians and demonstrates advanced clinical skill. Other professional roles include but are not limited to consultation, education, critical inquiry and direction/mentoring of personnel. Plans and provides client, family, peer and community education and coordinates services with other health care professionals including interaction with physicians or ARNP responsible for the care of the client. The Senior Mental Health Counselor-Masters follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in specialty areas, support program goals. Promote program goals and objectives while modeling philosophy and values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
  • Alaska Masters Social Worker License upon hire or,
  • Alaska Clinical Social Worker License upon hire or,
  • Alaska Psychologist License upon hire or,
  • Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License upon hire or,
  • Alaska Professional Counselor License upon hire.
  • 5 years - Clinical experience
