The Branch Prototype Manager is responsible for managing all versions of branch prototypes, including documentation, updates, and version control. This role integrates stakeholder feedback and applies continuous improvements with site-specific adaptations, ensuring prototypes consistently align with evolving business needs and customer experience goals. The Branch Prototype Manager also leads early-stage design and test fits for growth branch locations using conceptual design blocks, supporting strategic expansion and innovation.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will lead and refine branch prototype standards by incorporating stakeholder input, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to align with business and customer experience objectives.
  • You will collaborate with crossโ€‘functional teams (Design, Construction, IT, Operations) to integrate technology, sustainability, and dataโ€‘driven enhancements into branch environments.
  • You will oversee prototype implementation by establishing guidelines, managing cost models, and coordinating vendors to ensure consistency, quality, and financial efficiency.
  • You will drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring, lessons learned, training, and change management for internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will represent the organization in industry forums and professional networks to share best practices and stay informed on competitor benchmarks and emerging trends.
  • You will maintain a centralized repository of insights from prototype deployments and support business case development for future prototype initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, project intake, or real estate operations, or 5+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of architectural design principles, building systems, and construction methods relevant to retail banking environments.
  • Expertise in developing, updating, and applying standardized branch prototypes, including space planning, material selection, and technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including ADA compliance, building codes, and sustainability standards.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and ability to interpret and produce construction documents and specifications.
  • Experience in cost modeling, budgeting, and value engineering for prototype designs.
  • Ability to evaluate prototype performance, gather stakeholder feedback, and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
  • Skilled in coordinating with internal teams (Design, Construction, Operations) and external partners (architects, engineers, vendors) to ensure prototype consistency and quality.
  • Effective project management skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation for multiple concurrent branch projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train others on prototype standards and updates.
