Lead Development Engineering departments of Simulation, Additive Manufacturing and Estimating in evaluating feasibility, identifying manufacturing strategy, estimating costs, and creating proposals for business opportunities. As well as supporting project engineering in AQP process for awarded business.
  • Tool Project Costs & timing and Piece Price Estimating for but not limited to new or transfer molds, prototypes, engineering changes and tool refurbs
  • Evaluating customer specifications for manufacturability & feasibility.
  • Identify manufacturing strategy that optimizes efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Mold Filling Simulations to be used for cycle time estimates and to identify manufacturing / feasibility issues
  • Create preliminary layouts of tool concept for feasibility, timing, and estimated costs to be based on
  • Engineering representation in customer feasibility reviews
  • Attend AQP 1 & 6 meetings
  • IQMS quote process
  • Quote worksheet feasibility review
  • Technical recommendations and expertise on Raw Material selection & processing
  • Review and understand applicable customer specific requirements.

  • CAD software proficiency to create layouts and make part design changes
  • Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Effective Customer Communication
  • Mathematical knowledge to perform calculations for volumes weights and dimensions accurately.
  • Understanding of Raw Material properties and their suitability to meet product design requirements
  • Understanding of tool and plastics manufacturing methods and cost drivers
