Job description

P&C Field Services Technician
Area: Remote (Nationwide) — 80% Travel to Job Sites
Shift: Field-Based, Project-Driven

Job Summary:

  • Test and commission Protection & Control systems on high-voltage substations (15 kV – 500 kV)
  • Perform hands-on protective relay testing using Omicron CMC 256/356, Doble F6150, and similar test sets on SEL, GE, Basler, and Beckwith relays
  • Conduct control scheme testing, CT/PT circuit verification, settings uploads, and static/dynamic relay testing
  • Test medium and high voltage equipment including circuit breakers, power transformers, and instrument transformers
  • Apply NETA, IEEE, and NFPA testing standards throughout field work
  • Use testing software such as ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS, Omicron Test Universe, and AcSELerator Quickset
  • Document field activities through logs, sketches, digital tools, and mobile applications
  • Report directly to Project Lead or Field Supervisor on site
