Your day may include:
Evaluating patients and developing individualized prosthetic treatment plans
Designing, measuring, fitting, fabricating, and adjusting custom prosthetic devices
Utilizing advanced prosthetic technologies and evidence-based practices
Collaborating with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes
Educating patients and families on prosthetic use, maintenance, and long-term success
Monitoring patient progress while making ongoing adjustments for comfort, function, and mobility
Documenting patient care accurately while maintaining the highest clinical standards

Additional Job Description

Minimum Education, Experience & Certification Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics or Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited program

Completion of an NCOPE-accredited prosthetics residency

Certified Prosthetist (CP) or CP-eligible through the American Board for Certification (ABC)

Eligible for or holding South Carolina licensure, if applicable

Strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and patient communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an academic medical center or multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting

Experience with advanced prosthetic technologies, including microprocessor-controlled components

Interest in teaching, research collaboration, or clinical innovation
