Interns typically work under the guidance of certified prosthetists in clinical or laboratory settings, learning both technical skills and patient care. This internship is an essential step for those pursuing a career in prosthetics, as it helps bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice.

Interns often work closely with certified prosthetists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to both clinical and technical aspects of the field. This experience provides valuable insight into the workflow of prosthetics clinics and helps interns develop practical skills that are essential for a future career in prosthetics.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Prosthetics Intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Prosthetics Intern, you need a background in biomedical engineering, kinesiology, or a related field, along with foundational knowledge of anatomy and prosthetic devices.
